Happy New Year Guys!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are ready to start a New Year of reading!
For this year, I will be reading as many short classic novels as possible. What inspired this challenge as I do enjoy the occasional classic novel though the only problem is most are quite long and difficult to read.
However I came across on Interest the post below which lists a number of short classic novels that can be read in a day – some I have read before, most I haven’t and some I’ve never heard of (the only one I had already read and reviewed on this blog is A Christmas Carol) so I figured why don’t I read as many of these as possible over the year and encourage people to do the same.
As I read each one I’ll tick them off and add a link to the post below.
The books are:
- The Great Gatsby
- Animal Farm
- The Pearl
- The Old Man & The Sea
- A Christmas Carol
- Of Mice And Men
- Siddhartha
- Breakfast At Tiffany’s
- The Metamorphosis
- Night
- Speedboat
- Bonjour Tristesse
- Sula
- Things Fall Apart
- The Little Prince
- The Turn Of The Screw
- Mrs Dalloway
- One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich
- Who Will Run The Frog Hospital?
- We Have Always Lived In The Castle
